Secure Bowstring Knot
I developed this knot in 2008 for rescue where I needed a strong adjustable sling.
We (CLMRG) use 4 of these to secure an injured subject into our stretcher.
Three samples tied with 8mm cord slipped at 1,500 lbs.
Two of them broke at over 2,500 lbs after reaching the stopper knot.
The third actually broke at the figure 8 first!
